Jane app pricing
Jane publishes three plans: Balance at $54 a month, Practice at $79 and Thrive at $99, each including one full-time practitioner, with every practitioner after that charged separately. A solo clinician who wants Jane’s unlimited AI Scribe pays $94 a month on Practice. Jane publishes no price at 10 or more licenses.
Every figure and quotation below was read on Jane’s own site on September 21, 2026. This page is written by LumiDesk, which sells competing software, so it quotes Jane’s own words and links each one back to the page it came from.
Jane’s pricing in full
Jane Balance is $54 a month. jane.app/pricing, September 21, 2026
Jane Practice is $79 a month and includes one full-time practitioner. jane.app/pricing, September 21, 2026
Jane Thrive is $99 a month, includes everything in Practice, and includes one full-time practitioner. jane.app/pricing, September 21, 2026
Balance is a single-practitioner plan with an appointment cap. Jane’s own words for both limits:
Single practitioner profile
Limited to 20 appointments / month
Practice and Thrive have no appointment cap, and both charge for each practitioner after the first:
- On Practice, each practitioner after the first is $35 a month full-time, or $17.50 part-time. jane.app/pricing, September 21, 2026
- On Thrive, each practitioner after the first is $40 a month full-time, or $20 part-time. jane.app/pricing, September 21, 2026
Whether a practitioner is charged at the full or the half rate depends on booked hours, not on employment status:
Full-time practitioner: Books more than 24 hours per week (full license)
Part-time practitioner: Books fewer than 24 hours per week (half-license)
Licenses can't be split or shared between more than one person.
Staff who do not take bookings are free:
Administrative and support staff (any profile without bookable hours on the schedule) can be added to Jane free of charge.
Add-ons
Every Jane plan includes AI Scribe with 5 free notes a month. jane.app/pricing, September 21, 2026
Group Telehealth is $15 a month per opted-in practitioner, for sessions of up to 15 participants. jane.app/pricing, September 21, 2026
Insurance Billing is $20 a month, plus $5 for each additional full-time practitioner and $2.50 for each part-time one, and can be added to Practice and Thrive. jane.app/pricing, September 21, 2026
Jane Websites is $59 a month per clinic. jane.app/pricing, September 21, 2026
Jane’s unlimited AI Scribe is priced per practitioner who opts in:
$15 /month per opted-in practitioner for unlimited notes, or try it free with 5 notes
Insurance Billing is priced across the whole account rather than per billing provider:
Insurance Billing features are added to your entire account. That's why the additional fee will apply to your overall license count, rather than per individual provider.
Clearinghouse account not included in Jane subscription
Payments
Jane charges 2.85% plus $0.25 for online card payments, and 2.6% plus $0.10 in person. jane.app/pricing, September 21, 2026
Superbills and CMS 1500s are in every Jane plan. jane.app/pricing, September 21, 2026
Where Jane’s published range ends
Jane does not publish a price at 10 or more licenses. Its own pricing calculator returns no figure at that size and offers a call instead. jane.app/pricing, September 21, 2026
What Jane publishes for a clinic that size is an invitation to talk, not a rate:
Large and growing clinics (10+ practitioners) may be eligible for a few benefits, including our dedicated onboarding service, support for complex data imports, tailored staff training, and a Jane Payments rate review.
No table on this site quotes a Jane price at 10 licenses or more. A figure at that size would be an extrapolation of a rate Jane has stopped publishing.
Jane’s terms
Jane’s contract and cancellation terms, in Jane’s own words:
Jane is completely month-to-month; we offer no long-term contracts, no setup fees, and no cancellation penalties. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time.
You're free to leave at any time
There are no exit fees, penalties, or lock-in periods.
On refunds and on paying ahead:
Subscription payments are non-refundable.
Your subscription stays month-to-month. Paying ahead doesn't lock in your current price.
Jane does not publish an annual plan or an annual discount. Paying several months ahead is possible, at the same monthly rate. jane.app/guide/managing-your-jane-subscription, September 21, 2026
On a free trial:
We do not have a free trial, but we have a few different ways to help you explore if Jane is a fit for you
On how the subscription itself is paid:
No, we're not able to accept payment by cheque or EFT.
LumiDesk vs Jane: what each costs
LumiDesk is $550 per clinician seat prepaid for a year, or $55 per seat per month, which is $660 a seat over a year. Only clinicians take up a seat. The table is in years, because Jane publishes no annual plan and says paying ahead runs at its monthly rate, so twelve months of Jane’s published price is what a year on Jane costs. It shows both Jane plans, because Balance’s appointment cap puts it outside the basis and a clinic selling packages or memberships is on Thrive.
| Clinicians | 1 | 2 | 3 | 5 | 9 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| LumiDesk (Includes AI Scribe)$550 per clinician seat, prepaid for a year | $550 | $1,100 | $1,650 | $2,750 | $4,950 |
| Jane Practice, with AI Scribetwelve months at its published monthly price | $1,128 | $1,728 | $2,328 | $3,528 | $5,928 |
| Jane Thrive, with AI Scribetwelve months at its published monthly price | $1,368 | $2,028 | $2,688 | $4,008 | $6,648 |
Every figure is one year at that clinic size. Each vendor is shown at its cheapest published plan that puts no appointment cap on a clinician's schedule, includes AI scribed notes, takes card payments, and gives patients a portal with intake forms, paid the cheapest way that vendor publishes. Every clinician is counted as full-time, with the scribe turned on for each one.
- LumiDesk is shown prepaid for a year at $550 per clinician seat; paid by the month a year is $660 a seat.
- Jane publishes no annual plan and says paying several months ahead runs at the same monthly rate, so its figures here are twelve months at its published monthly price. Jane includes 5 AI Scribe notes a month on every plan; the table uses its unlimited scribe at $15 per practitioner.
Yearly prices before tax, in US dollars, as published on each vendor's site on September 21, 2026.
- Jane Balance ($54 a month) is not priced in the table. It is a single-practitioner plan, and Jane publishes it as
Limited to 20 appointments / month
Jane, September 21, 2026
- LumiDesk prepaid costs less than Jane Practice with AI Scribe at every size from 1 to 9 clinicians.
- Jane Practice with AI Scribe does not cost less than LumiDesk prepaid at any size Jane publishes a price for.
- LumiDesk prepaid costs less than Jane Thrive with AI Scribe at every size from 1 to 9 clinicians.
- Jane Thrive with AI Scribe does not cost less than LumiDesk prepaid at any size Jane publishes a price for.

On Jane’s AI Scribe
Jane’s AI Scribe is an add-on with a meter. Every plan includes five notes a month, and a practitioner who needs more opts in at $15 a month for unlimited notes. It is charged per practitioner, so a clinic that wants it for everyone pays for everyone.
$15 /month per opted-in practitioner for unlimited notes, or try it free with 5 notes
LumiDesk's scribe is included in every seat, unlimited, with no opt-in fee and no note count. That is the single largest difference between the two price tables above: at five clinicians, Jane's scribe alone is $75 a month of the $294.
A clinic where only one or two clinicians want a scribe, or where five notes a month is genuinely enough, will not see that difference. The table turns the scribe on for every clinician, which is the basis it states, and that basis costs Jane more than a light user would actually pay.
Where Jane is strong
Jane has been doing this a long time, and a cash-based clinic evaluating it should know what it would be giving up.
- Free admin and support staff. Jane charges by bookable practitioner, so a front desk costs nothing, the same as on LumiDesk.
- Free data import, with a team behind it.
There are no additional costs for support with data imports or migrations.
jane.app/pricing, September 21, 2026Imports are booked around 10 days ahead
jane.app/pricing, September 21, 2026 - A free setup call.
You can schedule a free Account Setup Consultation as part of your setup with Jane.
jane.app/pricing, September 21, 2026 - Unlimited human support. Unlimited human support, over email, chat and phone, is listed in every Jane plan. jane.app/pricing, September 21, 2026
- A third-party security attestation. Jane lists itself as SOC 2-audited, with 2-step verification, 256-bit encryption and 99.9% uptime, on every plan. jane.app/pricing, September 21, 2026 LumiDesk has no such attestation. What LumiDesk does claim, and what it does not.
- A clean exit. Month to month, no exit fees, and a portable export, in Jane’s words above.
When to choose Jane instead
Some clinics should buy Jane, and this is the honest list of them.
- You bill insurance today. Jane sells insurance billing as an add-on, with claims, eligibility checks and remittances. LumiDesk is built for clinics their patients pay directly, and it does not bill insurers. If claims are part of how you get paid, Jane can do it and LumiDesk cannot.
- Several of your clinicians are part-time. Jane charges half a license for a practitioner booking fewer than 24 hours a week. LumiDesk charges one seat per clinician whatever their hours, so a clinic of part-timers is cheaper on Jane than the table above suggests.
- You want a third-party security attestation today. Jane is SOC 2-audited. LumiDesk is not, and does not claim to be.
- You need group telehealth, rooms and equipment scheduling, or an automated waitlist. Jane sells all three. LumiDesk does not have them.
When LumiDesk fits
LumiDesk is built for one clinic in particular: a physical therapy practice paid by its patients rather than by insurers, run by someone who wants the whole clinic on one platform.
If that is you, what you get is one published price per clinician seat with everything in it. No base fee, no quote call, and no feature held back for a higher plan, which means what a cash practice runs on is in the seat you are already paying for rather than one tier up or one add-on across every clinician.
See the full pricing, or read how a cash-based clinic runs on LumiDesk.
Looking for a Jane alternative?
If you are shopping Jane against something else, the thing to compare is not the base plan. It is the plan you actually need once the scribe is on and packages or memberships are in, which on Jane is Thrive at $99 plus $15 per clinician, and on LumiDesk is $55 per clinician with nothing added.
